Re: SED Svetlana "Winged C" el34s. It may be worth a try to use EL-34's, if your amp has a bias switch for them. However, the Nomad, and most Mesas, are really built around the 6L6 tube, and it's possible that the amp sounds better with them.
The SED / Winged "C" EL34 was revered for its powerful authority and tight low end response. They don't make 'em like this anymore and these won't be in stock.
2 Απρ 2008 · finally had some time to switch EL34's in my Eico amp with winged-C's. wow, they're way better sounding than i expected. they don't really jump at you with clean tones and details as the old tubes, but quite impressive.
8 Απρ 2013 · I've been doing some searching around the web and read some reports that SED, Svetlana Electron Distributors, has ceased production of their vacuum tubes. This Svetlana isn't the same as Svetlana/New Sensor.
