Sengoku Basara is a game series made by Capcom in 2005. It is produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who is also famous with the Devil May Cry series. To date, twelve games have been released, with the latest, Sengoku Basara Legend of Yukimura Sanada , released in 2016.
Sengoku Basara is more or less a copycat of Samurai Warriors, only created by Capcom. However, once you look past their similarities, it becomes clear that Capcom didn't want a historical simulation like the one Koei made.
