9 Νοε 2014 · John (13:1) states that Jesus “loved His own.” John 3:16 states that God loves the world, but here the emphasis is on Jesus’ love for His own, not for the world. God loves the world by making provision for the sins of all that will believe in Jesus.

John 13:2 During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him, In v.1 we hear that Jesus is meeting with the disciples before the feast of Passover. The passover was celebrated on the 14th of Nisan on the Jewish calendar.
