Seville Square is the cornerstone for the Pensacola Historic District and the Seville Square Historic District which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It features a gazebo which is popular for weddings and other small gatherings, as well as benches, walking path and public art.
Seville Square is a large park in the heart of the historic area of Pensacola. Huge shade trees line the sidewalks and you're sure to enjoy some interesting people watching. Seville Square and its twin, Plaza Ferdinand VII, were the parade grounds for the Fort of Pensacola established during British rule. In the 1960s a young group of local preservationists decided to work to restore the older parts of Pensacola.
