I have a 300 mbit/s connection and in Steam I'm getting 25 Mbyte/s, so thats pretty fast. However, in the FF launcher I only get speeds of 4,7 Mb/s, which is frustratingly slow.

If you don't have tomestones, feel free to purchase stuff off of the market board--but you'll want to focus most on the highest item level (i.e. don't buy item level 60 stuff if you can afford item level 110 stuff). You can also do your class quests should get you some item level 90 gear.

Leveling dungeons guarantee one piece of gear matching your class for each completion. This gear is dropped directly into your Inventory or Armory Chest as you exit and is stipulated to be a piece you do not already have.
From level 50 onwards, certain duties will be unavailable until you have a high enough average item level. Buying better gear on the market board is an effective way to raise it. You will also earn Allagan tomestones, which can be exchanged for equipment, for completing duties of level 50 or higher.
