It's a very nice two man shanty. I had a S3000 for 7-8 years and it served me well. I sold it and moved up to a S4000 for the additional room. Set up and take down are pretty easy. If pulling by hand get the optional skis or a jet sled, it doesn't pull thru snow very well.

27 Οκτ 2002 · For 3 years a Shappell 3000 was the only portable I owned. I set it up and took it down about 50 times each winter. Positives: + It holds heat really well. + You can stand up in it pretty comfortably. + One person can spend the night in it on a cot or reclining lawn chair. (I have done this several times.)
