I've finally narrowed it down to Best Western PLus Island Palms or the Bay Club Hotel and Marina. Both have received positive reviews and great ratings and their prices are comparable. I guess I'm looking for a push in one direction or the other as to which would be the best choice.

I've narrowed it down to Shelter Island and have been watching the posts on the Best Western Island Palms and the Bay Club Hotel and Marina. The reviews have been varying on both places.

You could also stay in one of the hotels near Shelter Island in the Point Loma area, where you might have more dining options within walking distance.

This Best Western is in a great location on Shelter Island Marina with views of the boats, and great Bay Tours within a steps distance. The proximity to the airport is another terrific selling point! Beyond the ambiance, the service is wonderful.
