The ultimate tone generator. Alnico 5, scatter wound 42 enamel for fat and rounded tone with a lot of snarl. Full clean tones. RW/RP for hum-cancelling in middle position. Resistances are estimated, and intended for general comparison only. This is my favorite pickup I build by far.
These are the excellent Sheptone P-90 pickups. They're in barely used condition with 13" of lead on the bridge pickups and 14" on the neck. The Bridge measures 8.57k and neck reads 8.11k. The pickups come exactly as you see here. No screws or spings included. Tone clips at the Sheptone web site.
26 Ιουν 2024 · Unlike other single coil pickups, like those found on the Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster models, the P-90 utilizes a wider, shorter bobbin and this is what gives the soapbar pickup its fat, rich and assertive tone.
27 Ιουλ 2010 · The standard Sheptone P90H pickup is made of vintage construction using rough-cast, degaussed Alnico 5 magnets and uses scatter wound #42 plain Enamel wire for better harmonics and overtones. A standard set will deliver 8.6k in the bridge pickup and 8.1k in the bridge pickup.
27 Απρ 2022 · For a brighter and more open tone, try plastic rather than metal covers. But if your P-90s sound too aggressive and bright then metal covers might help. Changing the covers is also a good way to customise the look of your guitar. Lastly, the fixing screws for soapbar P-90s were originally brass, but modern equivalents may be steel.
