23 Φεβ 2013 · I've got 2 shilen barrels right now both in a 6mm chambering. I couldn't be happier with the one- but the second was pretty disappointing. It took a lot of work to find a load that it would shoot good and it collected copper like no other barrel I've ever seen.
25 Απρ 2020 · I have been using Shilen barrels for years and haven't had much issue with them. If you think you need to smooth up your barrel, try Isso Gunbrite. This is a lapping compound used by many custom barrel manufacturers to lap the barrel.
24 Νοε 2013 · I used Shilen tubes when it meant something to say you had a Shilen barrel. Never had any complaints and have had them rebarrel a couple rifles in 6.5x55 a and .222. The Swede shoots about .5moa and it's a Mauser action with full-lgth bedding.
9 Μαΐ 2021 · I have friends that have built & owned CF guns & ML's & SML's with Mcgowen & Shilen barrels on them. But I'm not familiar with Criterian barrels. May I suggest that you look into the value, pros/cons of the difference between " Cut rifle barrels " & " Button rifle barrels " before deciding.
12 Ιαν 2022 · Shillen is about the best button rifled barrel out there. I have them on most of my Savage actions and a Bighorn. They shoot as well as some of the big name cut rifled barrels. For rebarreling a Savage or a Bighorn with a Shillen Barrel check out Northland Shooter Supply they have great prices.
2 Φεβ 2012 · Shilen makes top notch bolt action rifle barrels. I can only assume their quality production extends to their AR barrels as well.
23 Μαρ 2017 · I have several Krieger barrels and one of each McGrown and MullerWorks cut rifle barrel. I have only good thing to say about theses 3 brands. Shilen does offer their Alternut prefits for the Vanguard.
