Dive into a world where the Georgia coast's natural beauty meets artistic inspiration in Waves of Wonder, the captivating new exhibition from Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum.
The museum features nine galleries filled with ship models, maritime paintings, and artifacts that reflect Savannah's rich maritime heritage. Among the models on display are the SS Savannah, a ship owned by William Scarbrough, and the RMS Titanic.
Ships at Sea Maritine Museum is housed in the lovely Greek Revival Scarbrough House designed by English architect William Jay. The home in the historic district was restored by a Historic Savannah Foundation in the 70s and in the 90s became the maritime museum.
These days, it houses the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, with displays of model ships and exhibits detailing maritime history.
