11 Μαρ 2023 · To query a specific DNS server in nslookup, add the server's IP or hostname at the end of your command. For example: nslookup isc.org 8.8.8.8. Nslookup will now use Google's DNS server — running at the IP address 8.8.8.8 — to query the DNS records of isc.org. The syntax for nslookup is: nslookup [-option ...] domain-name [dns-server]
This test will list DNS records for a domain in priority order. The DNS lookup is done directly against the domain's authoritative name server, so changes to DNS Records should show up instantly. By default, the DNS lookup tool will return an IP address if you give it a name (e.g. www.example.com)
