The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working sled dog breed. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive markings, and is smaller than the similar-looking Alaskan Malamute.
25 Οκτ 2024 · Siberian Husky, breed of working dog raised in Siberia by the Chukchi people, who valued it as a sled dog and companion. It was brought to Alaska in 1909 for sled dog races and soon became established as a consistent winner. It is a graceful dog with erect ears and a dense soft coat.
The Siberian Husky is originally bred by the Siberian Chukchi Tribe in eastern Siberia, the part near to Alaska. The weather was harsh and the tribe needed sled dogs for transportation.
