TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES. Silicon Tetrafluoride is irritating and corrosive to all living tissues. Toxic level exposure to dermal tissue causes hydrofluoric acid burns and skin lesions resulting in necrosis and eventual scarring. Burns are progressive while any residual active fluorides remain.
