27 Αυγ 2024 · Most rifle sighting is done first at 25 yards (22.9 m), then at 100 yards (91.4 m). This will give you a more accurate sighting over long distances. A quick way to measure yardage is to grab a tape measure and see how many paces it take you to travel 30 feet (9.1 m).

4 Ιουν 2019 · Put up a target at short range - 25 or 50 yards. A bull's-eye target is probably best for this because it's easier to align the round target within the round view through your barrel. Line up your barrel on the target, make sure it's steady and then look through your scope or sights.
Step 2: 25-yard zero. If you’re really confident, or short on time, you can skip this step but I don’t recommend it. A 25-yard zero is as simple as this: shoot at a target 25 yards away and make an adjustment so that your impact would have been about an inch lower than where you were aiming.
25 Νοε 2019 · When it comes to understanding how to sight in a scope at varying distances, the adjustments are very small and moves by one-quarter inch MOA, or minute of angle, for every hundred yards out. On average, every quarter inch moves our shot by an inch for every hundred-yard increase.
8 Αυγ 2018 · If you’re planning on zeroing your rifle at a longer distance like 200 or 300 yards, we recommend performing the initial sight-in at a shorter distance. Then once on paper, adjusting the scope to get your longer-range zero. The key to sighting in a scope quickly and efficiently is to use an extremely stable platform.
Keep in mind, that if you are shooting at 25 yards it will take you 4x the numbers of clicks (16 clicks = 1”, at 25 yards.) Let the Barrel Cool:Every rifle barrel is different. However, it is important to let the barrel cool down between groups.
