  1. 17 Δεκ 2018 · Course Description. Simulation is a general technique of using computer-generated models for counter-factual analysis (i.e., answering what-if questions) of complex real-world systems. In other words, our focus will be on data-driven engineering - going beyond learning from data (‘data-science’) to using data to design and improve complex ...

  2. 11 Φεβ 2021 · In this entry-level course on simulation, students will learn what simulation techniques can do and their role within the broader context of Business Analytics. Lectures will first introduce the student to the main aspects of running a simulation project, and then proceed to discuss selected details such as input and output data analysis.

  3. 19 Ιαν 2023 · Identify and properly state decision problems in different business settings, model them using a simulation framework, verify and validate the model, and choose the right solution methodology and methods and solve them using simulation techniques

  4. 17 Αυγ 2020 · Emphasis on $i.$ understanding how to use simulation to answer “what-if” questions, and $ii.$ tools and techniques needed in practice, in particular, modeling and simulation in Python. Course Information. Lectures: TR 11:30am-12:45pm, Statler auditorium (room 185), seating chart; Instructor: Sid Banerjee, 229 Rhodes Hall, email; Teaching ...

  5. Course Description. This subject provides an introduction to modeling and simulation, covering continuum methods, atomistic and molecular simulation, and quantum mechanics. Hands-on training is provided in the fundamentals and applications of these methods to key engineering problems.

  6. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the concepts, techniques and applied aspects of the development and analysis of simulation models. The course will cover two main approaches for modelling problems bound by uncertainty (stochastic behaviour): Monte-Carlo Simulation (static problems) and Discrete Event Simulation (dynamic problems).

  7. Course Description. Introduction to Modeling and Simulation (IM/S) provides an introduction into modeling and simulation approaches, covering continuum methods (e.g. finite element analysis), atomistic simulation (e.g. molecular dynamics) as well as quantum mechanics.
