31 Οκτ 2023 · Simulation studies are widely used for evaluating the performance of statistical methods in psychology. However, the quality of simulation studies can vary widely in terms of their design,...
29 Ιουν 2017 · The major challenge in modelling mental healthcare is capturing the complex biopsychosocial interactions that shape mental illness, but as computing technology and the quality of epidemiological and service use data have improved, so has the complexity of simulation models.
1 Δεκ 2017 · While mental illness is one of the leading causes of international disease burden, within fifteen identified reviews of healthcare simulation only three included papers are in mental health. Here we systematically review the use of simulation modelling in mental healthcare, identifying 160 papers.
4 Μαΐ 2021 · A meta-analysis was conducted to synthesize the effects of mental simulation on behavior and examine under what conditions mental simulation works best. An inclusive systematic database search identified 123 (N = 5,685) effect sizes comparing mental simulation to a control group.
3 Μαρ 2020 · A replication of Moody et al. (2018) study measuring EMG activity in the face and arms, but instead using fearful and angry body stimuli could provide robust evidence for a sensorimotor simulation model of emotion recognition in which the whole-body response is simulated and not just the face. Rather than body mimicry being a ‘spill over ...
18 Δεκ 2019 · Figure 1. Graphical illustration of the three-process model of emotion episodes (Smith et al., 2018b, 2019a, b; Smith, 2019). Here an event (either internal or external, and either real, remembered, or imagined) is represented in the brain at various levels of abstraction.
