28 Ιουλ 2024 · 1. Char Kway Teow by Salu Salo. Char Kway Teow is a popular South East Asian noodle dish which consists of fried flat rice noodles in sweet soy sauce and chili sauce. Each country has its own version of this Singaporean recipe but uses the same ingredients; shrimps, Chinese sausage, bean sprouts, eggs and chives.

And let’s not forget about chilli crab and Hainanese chicken rice, Singapore’s national dishes!
16 Οκτ 2024 · Black pepper crab is the unofficial national dish of Singapore, made by stir-frying crab pieces with black pepper, garlic, shallots, and oyster sauce over high heat. The dish is seldom prepared at home, but people can easily find it at numerous street stalls and seafood restaurants.

The original dish consists of whole mud crabs stir-fried in a sweet, spicy and savoury tomato sauce, then served with deep-fried mantou (Chinese steamed buns).
