23 Φεβ 2021 · Our F-24 trimaran requires two extensions to cover the enormous range of requirements— a 4–foot extension for cockpit and coaming use, and a 10-foot length when sitting on the ama (see photos above).
Aluminium tubing. You could also use some carbon fibre tubing if you wanted for lightness, but the aluminium seems pretty light. Now the genuine tiller extensions have some nice foam padding on the end, for comfort I guess. I wanted something similar but couldn't figure out how to do it.
Tilting is now easier, and holding an edge is more comfortable. Like thigh braces, hip pads can be simply a thin layer of foam glued to the seat pillar to prevent you from sliding side-to-side or they can wrap overtop of your thighs to help hold you into the boat once you've mastered the roll.
9 Οκτ 2021 · A tiller extension gives you extra reach to the tiller so that you can pick a better seating position for the current sailing conditions. Racers use them almost universally. If you have hopes of racing someday too, it’s never too soon to master using a tiller extension.
17 Φεβ 2016 · Seats I have seen on a semi trad have been made to fit on the corner between the side and the rear and the steerer seems to sit with his feet on something (caravan step?) inside. haggis. 11 Ιουν 2010 · I've seen a few pics here and there of peoples Gheenoes and they have a factory poling platform, or similar, along with a tiller extension. The tiller extension has to hit the poling platform leg when you turn and limit range. My question, is it a big deal or just not matter?
