28 Σεπ 2005 · While the SKS trigger design limits what miracles one can do with the standard trigger, Kivaari does a great job of improving it within those parameters. His cost and turnaround time were very reasonable.
With my match/target SKS trigger work, you get it all--- safety, clear 2 stage operation, lowered pull, much less creep, smoothness, repeatability, consistency and give up nothing, well, a few bucks.
26 Ιαν 2008 · No one will mistake the trigger for a match grade Timney but the transformation went from a D- trigger to a B+, well worth $68. I've upgraded my optics too, to a $120 Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 and can't wait to take it to the range.
11 Οκτ 2002 · A lot of folks do not understand the basics of how a SKS trigger works and certain limitations inherent in the design. I am going to attempt to make this simple and concise. The assembly is unique in its complexity, it has two disconnectors to keep it from firing when the bolt is not in battery.
In particular, the little SKS carbine is a pretty neat little rifle but has been plagued with one of the worst “out of the box” triggers around.
4 Σεπ 2009 · SKS came in today with fubar'd Trigger/sear assembly; need to replace. Found a new, old stock trigger group from Craig, member here. Thanks. Installed it today and it works fine. Just took a little fitting to the retainer and safety. No hammer fall problem is solved, feeds and functions. Now for a test firing later in the week.
Trigger is now crisp, not a lot of overtravel, and not creepy at all. Shot the best groups of the rifle’s life with me, and was ringing the gongs at 2, 3 and 350 yards. Thanks for your work, the cost was definitely worth it.
