It’s pretty good but spell breaker would be better! Mix that with upgraded deadric armor (even withought potion exploit) you’ll be a GOD Block spells with shield Block damage with heavy armor (Could add oakflesh as well)
I recently tried mixing it up by using spells (conjugation,restoration,destruction) instead of a shield. It seems much more effective to just use close wounds and heal all the damage you take instead of blocking it.
Spellbreaker and the Aetherium shield are the two best shield in the game. Spellbreaker gives you a ward that absorbs 50 points of magic damage (and if it rubs out just lower your shields and raise it again).
