Paladin/Ranger Armor and Weapons are a cool mod plus Light/Dark Magic as well. Definitely recommended if you decide against Vampirism or Lycanthrophy. I've been saved numerous occasions versus mostly Falmer foes and Golden Saints by using Fire Ball and Blizzard Scrolls.
