You will obtain the Saarthal Amulet and become trapped inside the room. Tolfdir will rush up to ask what happened, so explain to him your current situation. Tell Tolfdir about the amulet, and he will suggest using it to see if it can help you escape.

When you loot the amulet, some spikes will raise behind you, and you’ll be trapped. To solve the puzzle, you need to equip the amulet you just picked up and use a spell on the tablet that you took it from.
