26 Φεβ 2024 · Slic3r is the 3d printing software you need to convert a 3D model into printing instructions for your 3D printer. It cuts the model into horizontal slices (layers), generates toolpaths to fill them, and calculates the amount of material to be extruded.
You can download a precompiled package from slic3r.org (releases) or from dl.slicr3r.org (automated builds). If you want to compile the source yourself follow the instructions on one of these wiki pages:
Slic3r takes 3D models (STL, OBJ, AMF) and converts them into G-code instructions for FFF printers or PNG layers for mSLA 3D printers. It's compatible with any modern printer based on the RepRap toolchain, including all those based on the Marlin, Prusa, Sprinter and Repetier firmware.
Downloading. Slic3r can be downloaded directly from: https://slic3r.org/download or https://github.com/slic3r/Slic3r/releases. Pre-compiled packages are available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Windows users can choose between 32 and 64 bit versions to match their system.
