2 Ιουλ 2023 · In this thread, we, as a community, will be ranking every single justifiably usable Pokemon into "tiers" ranking their viability in the metagame. You're encouraged to post your thoughts and opinions on the various Pokemon that are viable in OU and what tier they should fall under.
OU (OverUsed) is the standard metagame. Usually, you end up with seriously strong Pokemon here. If a Pokemon doesn't see much usage, for whatever reason, in OU (Smogon's definition of not enough usage is when a Pokemon shows up in less than 3.4% of teams), it becomes a UU (UnderUsed) Pokemon.
2 Ιαν 2013 · Tiers in Pokémon (as we know them) were created by a community called Smogon in the mid-00s, and are still run on the Smogon Forums. All the official tiers for single battles are listed below, in order of strength (i.e. Ubers is highest and PU is lowest).
Pokemon who fail to cross a certain threshold of usage rates are considered "Untiered" and smogon has no "official" metagame solely for them, but there is the unofficial "ZU" that bans all fully evolved tiered pokemon. All tiers that have a U in the end of them are usage tiers such as ou being overused and the main metagame.
23 Φεβ 2024 · The EV spread is from Smogon and allows Raging Bolt to survive a Headlong Rush from Great Tusk and outspeed Gliscor. Tera Flying is also there to beat Great Tusk, although Tera Fairy can be used. Scream Tail is a one of the quickest Encore users in the game with Proto-Sun.
