16 Αυγ 2019 · Emailing a text message originating from a mobile device and going through an SMS gateway to an email address should work fine because emails don't have a character limit. Most of the major wireless mobile providers offer an SMS and MMS gateway.
Many mobile carriers have in place email-to-text "SMS gateways" to enable subscribers to use email to send SMS or MMS text messages. Below is a quick list of US and International carriers and their corresponding email address formats.
Today my tests to cell# @txt.att.net and @mms.att.net are actually coming through pretty quick and it hasn't lost any yet. I'm still not getting them from my public safety group. They think they got added to the Real-time Black List as spammers but AT&T says they aren't.
Can you also try [10digits]@mms.att.net and see what sort of delay you get? I know this thread is old but try xxx@txt.firstnet-mail.com. Wasn't working at first but text just came through. I don't know why it took so long but it is the same sms gateway.
Anyone else having issues with the txt.att.net and mms.att.net email-to-text gateways? I use these to get on-call notifications for work and I'm not getting any messages. Sometimes I get an error code 550 5.1.1 in a bounceback email address.
