All-Tissue Laser: A Cut Above. Solea operates at a unique wavelength with sophisticated, yet simple computer controls that enable high-speed, precision cutting on both hard and soft tissue. Solea works on everything from gingiva and dentin to enamel and bone.
The emission wavelength selector for the Solea lasers is based on a tunable bandpass filter. The filter features a high side mode suppression ratio of greater than OD 5 (50 dB), which makes it even suitable for single molecule detection.
After Solea emits a powerful wavelength of 9.3 µm, it is optimized by galvos: computer-controlled motors that shift and reposition the mirrors inside of each handpiece. The mirrors subsequently manipulate the beam thousands of times per second, which creates ideal patterns for all tissues, including dentin, bone, enamel, and soft tissue.
