The band's songs have appeared in a number of films and television shows. In 1988, "In My Room", "Ode to Boy" and "Only You" were used in the film The Chocolate War (an adaption of the book of the same title).
2 Νοε 2016 · “In My Room” is an undisputed masterpiece from the duo. It musical arrangement is subtle and reserved compared to the energy and intensity of other tracks found on the album. It also features experimental spoken-word vocals from Moyet and creepy cool backing vocals that repeat lines from the Lord’s Prayer amongst other things.
Yazoo were a synthpop duo formed by producer Vince Clarke and contralto Alison Moyet. (In North America they were known as Yaz, due to a name conflict with Yazoo Records.)
