Buttermilk Falls in Indiana County is one of the tallest waterfalls in western PA, and one of the few PA waterfalls you can safely stand behind, thanks to a special viewing platform.
Buttermilk Falls is located at 570 Valley Brook Rd, New Florence, PA 15944. This site features an impressive 45 foot waterfall and scenic woodland. The 48-acre natural area was donated to Indiana County Parks in 1995 by the Keystone-Conemaugh Group, owners of the nearby Conemaugh Generating Station.
The Ghost Town Trail totals 46 miles in Indiana and Cambria Counties, Pennsylvania. The trail was originally established in 1991 when the Kovalchick Salvage Company donated 16 miles of the former Ebensburg & Black Lick Railroad to Indiana County.

1 Ιουλ 2020 · To get to Buttermilk Falls, follow the trail next to the Mr. Rogers sign down the path for roughly five minutes. You will soon arrive at a wooden platform which offers the best viewing platform for those not looking to descend to the bottom of the waterfall.

28 Ιουλ 2022 · It’s so unique! It’s 45 feet tall, making it one of the tallest waterfalls in Western PA. New construction allows visitors to walk behind the waterfall, which is one of the coolest experiences I’ve had when visiting a waterfall in Pennsylvania. The hike to the falls is short and is under half a mile to the falls and back.
