You have three options: Auto 1: Output compressed audio without change. Auto 2: Output only compressed audio for multi-channel content without change. PCM: Always output in PCM. I have a Sony 950G which uses the same media chipset as the 950H.
1 Φεβ 2024 · Use an optical digital audio cable to connect the Optical IN terminal of the Soundbar and the Optical OUT terminal of the TV. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT terminal of the Soundbar and the other end to the HDMI IN terminal of the TV.
Connect the optical cable to the A/V Receiver or Soundbar optical input jack. Attach the Digital audio adapter (supplied) to the other end of the optical cable and connect it to the Optical Audio Out jack on the TV. Connect the HDMI cable to the A/V Receiver or Soundbar and then to the A95L TV.
To enable the optical output on your BRAVIA TV, follow these steps: Press the Quick Settings button on the remote control. Navigate to Settings. Select Display & Sound. Go to Audio Output. Choose Optical Digital Audio Output Settings. Toggle the Optical digital audio output to enable it.
Choose Auto for Passthrough and PCM for the Digital Audio Out. This makes sure your TV does not compress the audio, and since eArc does not downgrade 5.1 PCM, you get to have fuller sound without compromising your surround capabilities. Correction: PCM for Digital Audio Out is not worth it in many ways.
