If the issue still occurs, power off your DVD player. Unplug the power cord for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Power on your device. Try to open the disc tray.

A CDR, CDRW, DVDR, or DVDRW disc cannot be read in a Sony® CDROM or DVDROM drive, DVD player or audio CD player.
29 Αυγ 2016 · You can try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.
7 Αυγ 2019 · The CD, DVD or Blu-ray Disc® drive tray may not open when trying to eject a disc. This can occur if there is a mechanical failure or if there is a disk stuck in the drive. Follow this procedure to troubleshoot when the CD, DVD or Blu-ray Disc drive tray does not open to eject a disc.
3 Δεκ 2016 · DVD player thinks there's a DVD stuck inside five-disc changer. It won't switch to any other disc but remains on disc one, and you cannot open the door. We managed to get the drawer open and it looks like the bottom part of the drawer is still inside the whole mechanism...this (I think) is what the player is interpreting to be a disc.
If you have a disc stuck in your Blu-Ray player or DVD player, please try the following: Turn off your device and disconnect the power plug for at least 10 seconds. Plug it back in and power ON your device. Press the eject button shortly after turning on the device.
If you experience difficulty with the disc tray opening or closing, follow these steps to try to resolve the issue. Turn off the power of the disc player or the stereo system, if the disc player does not have a separate POWER button. Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet for 1 minute.
