So I'm looking to buy a 65" 4K for around $1000. Seems most people recommend either the Sony or the TCL. I saw the TCL at Best Buy and it looked amazing. Also saw the Sony but it was side by side with the A95K and the LG C2. Obviously did not look as good. Have been leaning towards the TCL as it has the latest tech but worried about reliability.
I find myself watching the Sony 4k 65 inch in the living room a lot more than I do my 4k projector with atmos in my basement even. I highly recommend Sony, and if money is not an option, the newest A95L.
The issue is that the cheapest 65” model here only has 60Hz refresh rate, and the next step up model (that does have 120Hz) costs like 500 bucks more. I’ve seen a TCL that costs 100$ more (here), but I’ve heard very mixed reviews about TCL, and Sony always came off as just reliable and very good overall. Btw, this is for a bedroom.
Sony X900H 65 Inch TV or TCL 65" CLASS 6-SERIES 4K QLED??? Just snagged the Xbox Series X and looking for a 4KTV upgrade. Currently my budget is under $2k and I've had my eye on these two.
Based on my research I am leaning towards either the TCL 6 series 65R646 or the Sony X90J. The TV will be used primarily for watching shows and movies. I also do a small amount of gaming with a Nintendo Switch but am mostly playing mariokart or animal crossing with my daughters so having incredible gaming performance is not critical for me.
