PlayStation Portable System Software is the official, updateable firmware for the PlayStation Portable. Updates add new functionality as well as security patches to prevent Homebrew (games) applications being run on the system. Updates can be obtained in four ways: Direct download to the PSP over Wi-Fi.
14 Απρ 2022 · Download the latest firmware from the PlayStation website. You can download the PSP firmware from the system updates page. The file you download should be called EBOOT.PBP. Move the downloaded file into the UPDATE folder. Connect your PSP to your computer via USB, or insert your Memory Stick Duo card into your computer's card reader.
16 Μαρ 2023 · Download the new firmware from the Playstation site here. Connect the PSP to the PC using the USB cable supplied with the console purchase. Turn on the PSP and go to Settings > USB Connection, then press the X button to activate the USB mode. The PC should recognize the PSP as a USB stick / external hard drive. Disconnect the PSP from the PC.
