You may continue to submit business entity filings through SOSDirect and SOSUpload for the foreseeable future. For UCC-related services, such as submitting filings, searches, and orders, you may continue to use SOSDirect until they transition to SOSPortal in late 2024.
You are required to login to the SOSDirect system and provide payment information in order to perform transactions such as filing documents, requesting copies and submitting bulk order requests. To submit filings, you must obtain a regular subscription.
Online services are available through our website at SOSDirect, including the ability to: file business formation documents; receive evidence of processing in real-time; order certified or plain copies and order certificates of fact; file UCCs; search for business entities/obtain entity information; print copies of imaged documents;

The SOSUpload System allows you to upload certain documents required to create a new business entity, register an existing out-of-state business entity, or make a change to a business entity's record. You must have a SOSDirect account to upload documents using this System.
The Section also provides records information by telephone and email and provides plain and certified copies upon request. Although the Section continues to accept documents by fax and mail, an increasing number of documents are received through electronic submission on SOSDirect.
The Secretary of State OnLine Access (SOSDirect) web access system provides subscribers with up-to-date, on-line computer access to a variety of information maintained by the Office of the Secretary of State.
