13th Division, Defensive Tactics & Seireitei Protection-The 13th Division is the ones that actually send out patrols on a daily, frequent basis to survey Seireitei. If a threat occurs, they find and take care of it, sometimes with help from other divisions.
The 5th Division follows the traditional organization of a Gotei 13 Division. After the defection of Sōsuke Aizen, the division was run by the next highest authority in the 5th Division: Lieutenant Momo Hinamori. Some time after Aizen's defeat, Shinji Hirako once again became captain of the 5th Division.
While most of the spotlight is on the brave divisions of the Gotei 13 risking their lives for Soul Society, the leaders are behind the scenes ensuring the order and structur of Soul Society.
