The Fire Wave, located in Valley of Fire State Park, is an easy hike to a fantastic sandstone formation resembling an ocean wave with swirling red, white, and pink sandstone patterns. With a beautiful backdrop, this hike in the park is one of the best.
29 Απρ 2023 · The hike. The walk amid the “wonders” begins at the Fire Wave Trailhead (Scenic Vista #3), with parking lots on both sides of the White Domes Scenic Byway, about 4.7 miles north of the Valley of Fire State Park Visitor Center and just under 60 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada.

9 Δεκ 2021 · Access Info. From Las Vegas, take Interstate 15 north for about 35 miles to exit 75 (signs for Valley of Fire State Park and Lake Mead National Recreation Area). At the end of the offramp, go southeast on Valley of Fire Highway. Reach the park’s west entrance after 14.5 miles.
10 Οκτ 2024 · The Fire Wave is a popular 1.5-mile out-and-back hike at Valley of Fire. Starting in Parking Lot #3 (the final parking area on White Dome Road before it ends by White Domes Trail), head to the west side of the road at a well-marked trailhead for the Fire Wave Trail.
Consisting of a slot canyon, sandstone formations, and open desert, the White Domes Trail is the second popular hike in Valley of Fire State Park. Similar to the Fire Wave, this 1.25-mile loop has a few accents and descents that might be difficult for people with disabilities.
