We've mapped out the two most popular ways to reach Pawtuckaway's South Mountain, the shortest of which will have you climbing the fire tower in under a mile,. The longer route along Mountain Trail follows a mostly flat 2 mile journey from the park's southern entrance and visitor center.

The Fire Wave, located in Valley of Fire State Park, is an easy hike to a fantastic sandstone formation resembling an ocean wave with swirling red, white, and pink sandstone patterns. With a beautiful backdrop, this hike in the park is one of the best.
11 Ιουν 2024 · The trail to High Shoals Falls at South Mountain State Park is just so pretty. The hike goes up and around rocks and stairs and crosses the river via bridge. Its a beautiful hike and FREE!
The Fire Wave Trail in Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park makes for a wonderful 2 mile in/out hike passing through brilliantly colored, striated rock formations reminiscent of “The Wave” in Arizona. Park in Lot #3 and cross the road to get to the trailhead.
