- California State Library Parks Pass Participating and Nonparticipating Parks
The Parks Pass program, a partnership between California State Parks and the California State Library as part of the Outdoor Access for All Initiative, supports all Californians in exploring the outdoors and gaining the benefits of our parks.
This new program – launched during National Library Week in April – distributed the California State Library Parks Pass to public libraries across the state for checkout by library patrons. The pass allows free vehicle day-use entry at more than 200 participating state parks!
The California State Library Parks Pass offers vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state park units operated by State Parks to library-card holders. California public library-card holders can check out the vehicle day-use pass at their local public library.
A new pilot collaboration between State Parks and California State Libraries will provide free passes to every public library throughout the state. Library patrons can check these out and use them for free vehicle day-use access to parks across the state.
What is the California State Library Parks Pass and who can use it? In partnership with the First Partner’s Office, the California State Library, and the California State Parks, Californians can check out free vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state park units with their library cards.
