The Southern Red Cedar is a medium-sized tree that can reach heights of up to 60 feet (18 meters) with a wide spread. It has a conical shape and dense foliage consisting of scale-like leaves. The bark is reddish-brown and exfoliates in long strips.
Juniperus virginiana var. silicicola. The hardy Southern Red Cedar looks great in mass plantings as a screen, but also does great as a standalone accent! Water Requirements: Low water needs. Drier conditions are preferred. Highly drought tolerant.
