9 Οκτ 2024 · Southwest Asia, also known as Western Asia, is a geographical and cultural region located in the southwestern part of Asia. It extends from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea in the west to the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean in the south, and from the Caucasus Mountains in the north to the Horn of Africa in the southwest.

Mediterranean climates prevail along Southwest Asia’s Mediterranean and Aegean coasts and across much of western Turkey. Winds blow off the seas, and they bring mild temperatures and moderate amounts of rainfall during the winter months. The summer months are warm and dry.
