19 Φεβ 2008 · In Spanish 21, there is much greater scope for play variation with the count. (For example: basic strategy for S17 is always hit 12 and 13, and hit 14 vs 2 and 3, but the optimal strategy at a TC of 10 above neutral is stand on all stiffs versus 2,3,4,5,6 except for 12 vs 2 and 3.)

All cards count at face value except Kings, Queens, and Jacks which always count as 10 and Aces which you can count as either 11 or 1. Spanish 21 is played like Blackjack with the following exceptions:

A survey of the printed books also shows that there may be only two or three card counting systems that came with a well-defined method for counting Spanish 21.
16 Οκτ 2023 · Spanish 21 uses six or eight Spanish decks, each deck consisting of 48 cards — the regular 52 cards less the four tens. Any card counter can tell you that removing any 10-point card from the cards moves the odds in favor of the dealer.
How to play Spanish 21. Spanish 21 is similar to traditional Blackjack but with more options and payouts. One difference is that all numbered “10” cards are removed from the deck leaving 48 cards in each deck. Jacks, Queens and Kings count as 10.
