Every child has a right to inclusive education, including children with disabilities. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) recognizes the right to inclusive education for all persons with disabilities.
The right to education applies to all children. Article 24 describes what is needed to ensure that children with disabilities are able to realize this right: √ Non-discrimination: Children with disabilities must be able to access education without discrimination and on the basis of equality.

To close the education gap for children with disabilities, UNICEF supports government efforts to foster and monitor inclusive education systems. Educational environments for students with disabilities range from a complete denial of formal educational services to equal participation in all aspects of the education system.
