Research to date has suggested that religion might be a source of comfort and strength in times of crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it may also be a form of stress if spiritual struggles are experienced.
Collaboration among health practitioners, religious organizations and the public is critical to the timely and effective management of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an urgent need to develop and implement programs that cater to physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
