Spironolactone tablets are usually administered in conjunction with other heart failure therapies.

Essential hypertension. For adults, an initial daily dosage of 50 to 100 mg of spironolactone tablets administered in either single or divided doses is recommended. Spironolactone tablets may also be given with diuretics that act more proximally in the renal tubule or with other antihypertensive agents.
