Methods: We conducted a narrative review of the literature on the clinical presentation, diagnosis, prognosis and management of spondylolysis and isthmic spondylolisthesis. Results: A comprehensive physical exam and subsequent imaging including radiographs, CT and MRI play a role in the diagnosis of this disease process.
