29 Ιουν 2009 · As of SQL Server 2012 you no longer have to go through the hassle of deleting the bin file (which causes other side effects). You should be able to press the delete key within the MRU list of the Server name: drop-down in the Connect to Server dialog.

This will return the actual locations of the physical database files. Check to see if they exist.
27 Απρ 2011 · SSMS has a simpler way to do this. From object explorer, right click on database > Delete. From the delete dialog, check close existing sessions. Unless you are dropping databases from a script, SSMS is the way to go. –
30 Ιαν 2016 · The "standard" way to force a database to be dropped is: ALTER DATABASE [YourDatabaseName] SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE; DROP DATABASE [YourDatabaseName]; I would also suggest SELECT * FROM sys.databases and SELECT * FROM master.sys.master_files to see more of what SQL thinks is going on. – BillP3rd.
