Competitive Dance Team Handbook for Students & Parents. A competitive dance team is designed for the serious dancer who is highly motivated in the performing arts. Those selected for company will possess the following: Be physically fit with emphasis on healthy mind and body.
Come to class on time and be prepared and ready to dance with the proper attire, shoes, and positive attitude. Use time at the beginning of class to stretch or work on dance skills instead of socializing. Conversations should be kept in the lobby. Be kind and encouraging to your classmates and always try your best.

Handbook & Constitution. 2010-2011. Erin Fine, Head Dance Team Coach. I. PURPOSE: To support and represent Blue Valley Southwest at athletic functions and assemblies as well as competitions. Dance Team members will become active members and positive role-models in the school and community.
We have created this handbook to help shed some light on how things will run throughout the year as well as answer questions you may have before the year begins. We have done our best to provide as many dates as possible, for both the duration of the 2022-2023 season and our 2023-2024 season. New procedures/changes will appear in red.
