Handbook & Constitution. 2010-2011. Erin Fine, Head Dance Team Coach. I. PURPOSE: To support and represent Blue Valley Southwest at athletic functions and assemblies as well as competitions. Dance Team members will become active members and positive role-models in the school and community.
The purpose of the Fort Calhoun High School Dance Team is to promote and uphold school spirit within the school and community through performances, competitions, and events, as well as represent Fort Calhoun High School as positive role models in and out of uniform.
The purpose of the South St. Paul Dance Team is to promote school spirit, involvement, teamwork, dedication, create a strong work ethic, respect and to represent the school and community at all dance team appearances and competitions.
A competitive dance team is designed for the serious dancer who is highly motivated in the performing arts. Those selected for company will possess the following: Be physically fit with emphasis on healthy mind and body. Be self‐motivated and able to self‐evaluate.

Directed by Deb Meunier and the Fusionworks Dance Academy school staff, the performance team is made up of dancers from Level I and Level II classes who study intensively in various dance forms and then perform in regional and national competitions.
The NDS framework defines the dance knowledge content to be learned, and communicates dance processes, performances, products, and values. The sections that follow define strands, standards, performance indicators, S.M.A.R.T. design tools, learner outcomes, learner objectives, and assessment.
