Stanton County Hospital is a non-profit, county owned facility which is licensed for 18 acute beds and 25 long term care beds. The hospital was opened in 1963 and the long term care center was added in 1976. In 2012, the facility was renovated and a physician clinic was added.

Stanton County, in the western tier, is the second county north from the Oklahoma line. It is bounded on the north by Hamilton county; on the east by Grant; on the south by Morton, and on the west by the State of Colorado. It was first created in 1873 and was named in honor of Edwin M. Stanton, former secretary of war.
