8 Αυγ 2024 · I couldn't resist walking away from a very decent old Firestar M40 at the local pawn shop, with box for $250. It seems to work fine but I would like to find a tutorial or video on a total disassembly just in case I need to replace a part or springs.

4 Μαρ 2016 · I was curious having read of an elusive Firestar Plus in .40, and tried it with both the M40 and M43 slides on the M243 frame if memory serves. The M243 is a pretty cool pistol with the factory 13 round double stack magazines on a frame not that much larger through the grip than the M43.
18 Φεβ 2010 · Can anyone tell me where I can find instructions on the COMPLETE disassembly of a Star Firestar Plus. I can find plenty directions on simple 'field strip' for cleaning but nothing on complete takedown.
19 Φεβ 2008 · I used to carry a Star .40, it was fairly small and concealable but weighty. I found the Glock 23 in .40 cal seemed to bark less so I switched to that. I've still got a Miami Classic (the horizontal carry one) shoulder holster for that if anyone needs one.
22 Φεβ 2017 · Have the predecessor to the Firestar....the Star PD in 45 ACP. Gun weighs 24 oz empty and not much bigger than today's polymer carry 9's. Incredibly under-rated. 100% reliable and accurate with many kinds of ammo. For today....I'd look seriously at S&W Shield 9mm (even in 45 ACP, in slightly larger form than 9mm).
19 Φεβ 2008 · I own a Star Firestar M-40 and I have owned it since 1989. It is very reliable and even if you OC, it does not stand out. I prefer concealed carry as I do not want anyone to know that I am carrying.
