The Chairman of the State Council heads the Council Bureau. It is composed of seven members, including the Chairman and the two Vice Chairpersons. The four members are elected by the State Council’s members in the first sitting of first session (in the same sitting they are elected).
12 Νοε 2023 · During its first session of the 8th Term, the State Council will elect two deputies to the chairman and members of the State Council’s Office. The council members will also contest seats in the Council’s permanent committees.

The Council of Oman (Majlis Oman) is made up of member of the State Council (MajlisA'Dawla) and Consultation /Shura Council (MajlisA'Shura) as stipulated in Article 58 of the Basic Law of the State. It assists the government in drawing up the general policies of the state.
